The problem that occupies the mind of the majority of the website-owners nowadays is what content they should include on their website to attract the readers and clients. For finding a solution to this problem, one needs to analyze the mentality of a reader. Multiple websites and pages are visited every day, but the websites that are not that attractive or websites that appear dull and monotonous to us are paid less attention. No doubt, websites require different types of content, all based on the purpose of the website. But there are certain parameters, which are common for judging all type of websites.

Here I have prepared a list that will take you through all the ingredients that a perfect website requires-

1) Appealing background and suitable color scheme

When a person visits your website, then the visuals leave the first impression on his mind. Attractive background and color scheme increases the tendency of the reader to stay longer on your website. Utilise images and color schemes in a proper way to make your website appear more appealing.

2) About page

This section requires brief details of you and your services in about 4-5 lines. People like to know regarding the details of the person before taking any service from them. So make sure to make this section as brief and informative as you can, as it plays a major role in fetching your customers.

3) Press page

Press page is basically a page which is used to post all kinds of media published by press, related to your work and achievements.You can use this section for giving an insight of your popularity. Write-ups can be showcased or interview mentions can be detailed on this page to create an impression on the reader. This page is used for branding.

4) A List of related posts

If a person is developing the interest in an article published on your website, and he wants to read more regarding it, then he can refer to related article links mentioned on your website instead of switching to another source. This increases the convenience of the reader and makes him stay longer on your webpage.

5) Sitemap

This is basically an archive page where you can post links to all your best and selected articles. It makes convenient for the reader to go through your popular posts all at once instead of scrutinizing for them here and there. It can be located in the right panel or in the footer of the page.

6) FAQ Page

7) Comparison Page

8) Contact Us Page

This page is critical as it helps your client in reaching to you. You can mention the contact number, mailing address, office address, fax details of you and your other team members. Other basic things like working hours and office address on a map can also be included under this to increase the convenience of both you and your clients.

9) Privacy Page

This mentions the privacy policy that you adhere to. This page tells the user that how their personal information will be used by you and will not be shared with any third party. This page is useful in maintaining a bond of trust between the website community and the customer.

10) Terms and Conditions Page

This page provides an outline of the basic rules that the person visiting your website needs to follow.  You can mention your copyright on your website and can mention the authority that authenticates your website.

11) 404 page

If the reader lands on an error page, then there should be a 404 page mentioning what to do next. This prevents the reader from leaving your website. A 404 page is a standard HTML page that you can customize according to your choice.

12) Reviews page/ Testimonials

One or two sentences long reviews with proper headlines can be included in the review section of the website to showcase your readers the feedback about your services from previous clients. If possible, add photo and contact info of the author to provide authenticity to the testimonial.

Well, you can always maintain the freshness of your website by updating it with fresh content and details weekly or frequently.  Always focus on stronger content rather than long, dull and uninteresting content to make people suggest your website and services to others.
